Langston’s Lot at Stone Soup: a Look from the Inside September 8-10, 2023

The next major step in my CD project took place in September, as Langston’s Lot was recorded at Stone Soup Studios, in Maumee Ohio. Mark Bunce, my wonderful recording engineer, was at the controls, guiding all of us through the process. Working in the state-of-the-art isolation booths were three of my dear friends and collaborators: Jackie Edwards-Henry, piano, Roderick George, tenor, and Gail Levinsky, alto saxophone. Gail and Jackie commissioned this work in 1996; we have been working with this piece in concert ever since.
